Oita is one of Japan's prefecture situated on Kyushu island in the south of the country. It is almost entirely covered by mountains and has only a small strip of narrow coastal plains. The kabosu fruit which is a citrus fruit grows in the area. To tourists the prefecture is well known for its hot springs, especially those in the area of the city of Beppu. Beppu also boasts a great aquarium with tricks played by various animals. There is a famous monkey park, a theme park, a popular annual music festival and much more. Visitors to Beppu can enjoy and relax in the various bath's that are offered in the famous hot spring resort.
